North Carolina State University seeks an established scholar to provide leadership for its interdisciplinary program in Science, Technology & Society (STS). The STS program provides crucial links among the University’s strengths in humanities, social science, science, technology, and engineering fields. The successful candidate will assume the directorship of the program and contribute to developing these connections further and integrating them more fully into the University’s identity.

Qualifications: Ph. D. in relevant field required. Candidates should also demonstrate an established research program directly relevant to the interdisciplinary STS field and appropriate for a tenured position in one of the participating departments: Communication, English, History, Philosophy & Religious Studies, Sociology & Anthropology, and Political Science/Public & International Affairs. Duties will include scholarship, teaching, and program administration, divided between the participating department and the STS program. Salary will be commensurate with rank and experience.
