Deadline: Holtz Center STS Mini-Fellowships
November 1 @ 6:00 pm
The pandemic has touched nearly every aspect of graduate student life. It has interrupted research, transformed teaching, and eliminated many on- and off-campus jobs. In order to support students during this time, the Holtz Center for Science and Technology Studies is offering one-time mini-fellowships of $2000 to UW-Madison graduate students engaged in STS-related research. These fellowships replace the Center’s travel grants for 2020-21.
The fall application deadline, for awards to be made at the end of fall semester, is November 1, 2020. The spring application deadline, for additional mini-fellowships as well as Summer and top-up fellowships, is April 1, 2021.
The Holtz Center Steering Committee strongly encourages members of under-represented groups and any students facing hardship to apply for mini-fellowships. Students who are uncertain about their eligibility or who have other questions should contact Lyn Macgregor (firstname.lastname@example.org). No student will be required to disclose personal hardship as part of the application process.
