I am an assistant professor of Life Sciences Communication, with a research focus on the intersection between science, art, and communication. In my recent work, I have examined how diverse audiences interact with science within an information landscape that is progressively saturated with visual, AI-generated, and artistic elements. My research and teaching interests also extend to non-verbal communication strategies that bridge gaps in public opinion, particularly on contentious issues related to climate, food, and energy. My affiliation with the Holtz Center dates back to my Ph.D. days at UW-Madison, where I also pursued a Ph.D. minor in STS. This interdisciplinary background consistently informs and enriches my research and teaching. Moving forward, I hope to further cultivate connections with Holtz Center-affiliated faculty, staff, and students, contributing actively to the vibrant and expanding community on campus.
